In 5th period, I went to Lab 109 and double checked to see if the STAAR Online program updated. After that I exited out of the program and checked for any kind of update on the computers. For the most part, the only updates on the computer were Java and Windows updates. For the Java update I had to go into the control panel and click on the java icon to get to and install the update. For the Windows update, I simply clicked the shutdown button in the Start menu, and it automatically installed all the updates before shutting down.

In 6th period, Johnny and I first went up to the science IDF room to put up some laptops. We had two types of laptops so we had to put them into two different COW, COW 3 for the more bulky one, and COW 5 for the smoother ones. Once that was done we headed to room 307 to remove and replace a CPU. We unplugged all the cables from the old CPU tower and removed it from under the desk. Then we replaced it with the new CPU and plugged all the cables back in. Once that was done we headed back to the tech room, where a CPU was updating beforehand. When we got back it finished updating, so we turned on the computer again so it could start configuring the updates. After that was done, we turned off the CPU and put the case cover back on it, and unplugged it from the monitor. We carried the CPU back to the councilors office and plugged it back into its station near the back of the office.
