Today, during 5th period I installed BIOS 12 and 15 into two computers. For one computer, both programs were already on the desktop on the computer, I just needed to select each of them and run and install them. For the second one, Mrs.Salyer plugged in a USB that contained the files, but I needed to go through the drive and find the file that said "Dell 780 fix". When I did I saw the two programs that were one the desktop of the other computer. I clicked and dragged both of the programs to the desktop and then clicked, ran and installed each of them. Once this process was done, I removed two 2GB RAM sticks from one computer and put it into another. After that I placed two 4GB RAM sticks into the former computer. However we did run into a problem, as one computer only had one 2GB RAM stick, so Mrs.Salyer had to go through a tray of 1GB RAM sticks to try and find a 2GB RAM stick. Fortunately we did find one that would work for the computer. Before I replaced the RAM, Mrs.Salyer showed me how to clean out the dust from a CPU. To do this I need to get the red vacuum cleaner from beneath one of the desks. Then I would plug it into a extension cord that was plugged into the wall. Then I would turn the vacuum on and double check that air was blowing out. After that I would simply move the snout of the vacuum around the inside of the CPU, blowing away a good portion of the dust. Once the RAM was replaced, and I checked to see if everything was okay, Mrs.Salyer imaged both of them. While the two computers were imaging, Mrs.Salyer and I headed down to the Journalism room to see how many more CPUs were left, which were seven.
Then in 6th period, Mrs.Salyer showed all three of us how to clean a projector filter. We went to Mrs.Stevenson's room to learn how. Before we went there, we stopped by the storage closet near the Special Ed classroom to get a ladder. When we got to Mrs. Stevenson's room, Micheal placed the ladder little before the projector. Then Mrs.Salyer showed us how to clean a filter. You need to first unplug the power from the projector, then grab the small gray tab in front of the projector and gently pull it out. Then carefully pull out the filter from its place, this is because of how fragile the filter is. Then take an air can and spray the filter to remove the dust from it, and do the same to the gray tab that you pulled out. Then carefully place the filter back into the gray tab and place the gray tab back into the projector. After that plug the power back into the projector and turn it on, either with the remote or with the projector itself. Then go to the settings menu and find the "filter timer" option and reset the timer.
